Ice and Snow Conditions Update
Christmas has been completely snowless, and ice has formed only in some areas. Shallow bays and small ponds are frozen, but the large open lake areas are still unfrozen, and for example Linnansaari cannot be reached by crossing the ice. Moving on the ice now requires extra caution, but the weather forecast promises freezing temperatures toward the New Year, and ice fishing trips will begin next week in the Oravi area.
