Notice: Change in the Maintenance of Haukivesi’s Winter Routes

We have maintained a groomed skating route on Haukivesi, in Linnansaari National Park, for twenty years. However, the time has now come to bring this era to an end. From now on, we will focus solely on maintaining the marked winter hiking route from Oravi to Linnansaari and across Haukivesi.

The winter hiking route can be used for walking, skiing (weather permitting), snowmobiling, and at times also for kick-sledding or cycling. Parts of the route follow the ancient Savonian signpost trail and continue a centuries-old travel tradition.

Tour skating will remain a beloved hobby for us, and we will skate whenever conditions are favorable—that is, when the ice is free of snow and the surface is hard.

Welcome to enjoy winter experiences in Oravi !

We warmly welcome visitors to explore the marked winter hiking route in Linnansaari National Park. We will continue to improve rest spots, ski tracks, and snowshoe routes, and offer guided experiences amid the magnificent winter lake nature.

We will continue to update ice and route conditions in this journal.
