Wednesday 7.1. The Winter Hiking Ice Trail from Oravi to Linnansaari Is Now Open!

The winter hiking trail from Oravi to Linnansaari is 5 km/one way and is marked with red poles. Ice thickness has been measured along the marked route, ensuring that it is always safe to travel on that route.

The journey is currently best done on foot, by kick sled, or by bicycle. Oravi’s equipment rental is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 9 am–5 pm. Winter sports equipment is also available at other times by advance booking. There is no access fee for the winter hiking ice trail!

You can purchase snacks and drinks for your trip to Linnansaari at the Oravi village shop during its opening hours, as well as when the equipment rental/reception is open. Please leave your car in the village shop*s parking area, as there is no parking available at the starting point of the trail.
