Route info week 7 (9.-15.2.2026)

Linnansaari’s pancake café is open on Saturday 14.2. at 12-15. Cash payment only.

The winter ice trail for hiking, cycling, and skiing is now open from Oravi via Linnansaari to Järvisydän! The route is marked with red snowplow poles. No route fee!

The traditional cross-country ski track will be made on Saturday morning from Oravi to Linnansaari (5 km/one way).

The lake hut halfway between Oravi and Linnansaari is now in use (circa 2 km from Oravi).

Ice trail updates during the week:

Wednesday 11.2. The kick sled route was planed down today. Due to many uneven sections, kick sleds are recommended, but people experienced in tour skating can also skate using their own tour skates. No route fee.

Tuesday 10.2. The kick sled route from Oravi to Linnansaari (5 km/one way) has been plowed again. Below is a photo along the route, from Savonselkä. In the background is the lake hut where you can stop to grill sausages. The firewood fee can be paid at the Oravi reception or in the online store.
Price: 4€/person or 8€/family (max. 5 people).
