Finland Paddles 40th Anniversary Event – June 2026

The 40th anniversary edition of the Finland Paddles (Suomi Meloo) event will take place on June 6–12, 2026, along the route from Iisalmi to Puumala (Sahanlahti). This approximately 500 km canoe relay returns to its roots to celebrate its long and unique history.

Both teams and individual paddlers are welcome to participate.

Oravi Paddling Celebration – June 9, 2026
The relay will stop in Oravi on Tuesday, June 9, where the traditional paddling celebration will be held.

Program at Ruukinranta:

Buffet dinner from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (advance reservation required)
Award ceremony after dinner
Dancing with live music
