Route Info Week 9 (23.2.-1.3.)
Friday 27.2. The air temperature rose to plus degrees Celsius today. The kick sled route to Linnansaari has been plowed, but water is now rising onto the ice. The snowmobile track can be used for walking or skiing. The traditional cross-country ski track on the ice to Linnansaari (5 km/one way) and the forest cross-country ski track (approx. 3,5 km circular route) have been made today. Be careful on the larger hill on the forest ski track. The Oravi forest cross-country forest ski track starts on Oravintie road. Park your car at the village shop’s parking area. Linnansaari café is not open in the weekend.
Thursday 26.2. Due to snowfall throughout the whole day, the kick sledding trail and traditional cross-country ski track cannot remain open and are therefore closed. We will announce here when the kick sledding trail will be plowed next time. You can ski on the winter hiking ice trail marked with red snowplow poles. It is also possible to book a sleigh ride to Linnansaari.
