The ice fishing season is now at it’s best. Book a guided tour here.
Trail updates during the week:
Saturday 14 March: There is hardly any snow left on the ice, so skiing is not possible. We now recommend either using a kick sled in the morning or walking to Linnansaari, both along the marked snowmobile trail, as there are no layers of water beneath the surface ice. You should not go off the trail right now, as ice holes are forming in some places. Kick sleds and, if needed, ice cleats for your shoes can be rented from the Oravi equipment rental shop. The Linnansaari café is not open today, but you can buy snacks or enjoy coffee on the spot at the Oravi village shop-café. Photo below is from Friday evening.

Monday 9 March: Warm and sunny weather is forecast for the whole week. We recommend to head out onto the ice early in the morning for skiing, walking, or kick sledding. When skiing, stay close to the trail. All trails will soften during the day.
