Winter Nature Holiday package is available January-March (season starts when the winter hiking ice trail can be opened)

Enjoy the winter activities and beautiful nature in Linnansaari National Parks Arctic trail. Saimaa Arctic Trail runs from Oravi to Linnansaari National Park’s main island (5 km). More information about the winter hiking ice trail can be found from here.

The route is open for skiers and walkers and weather permitting also for kick sparks. You can see the daily route info in the Diary! Weather permitting, you can also get to Linnansaari by sleigh ride.

You can rent winter sports equipment from the Oravi equipment rental shop; you can find all the equipment available for hire and the prices here. We also organise guided excursions in winter, such as ice-fishing trips.

There are fire places along the route, a cozy lake hut in Savonselkä and a cafeteria on Linnansaari main island (cafeteria is open mainly on Saturdays, always check the opening hours from the Diary). On Linnansaari main island you can find marked snowshoe trails up to 7km.
