Saimaa Harvest Festival in Oravi

During the Harvest Festival Weekend, guests at Ruukinranta Restaurant can enjoy a special harvest menu inspired by the pure nature of the Saimaa region. The menu highlights local fish from Lake Saimaa, crayfish from the Oravi Canal, and seasonal mushrooms and berries gathered from nearby forests.

At the village store, visitors can purchase freshwater fish, game, and wild forest delicacies directly from local fishermen and hunters. On the Chimney Terrace, there will be fish preparation demonstrations throughout the day, as well as traditional fish smoking, offering guests the opportunity to experience the aroma and taste of freshly smoked fish.
